Potluck Postponed

Due to a scheduling conflict with the church calendar, the December 16th potluck has been postponed. So sorry! I hope to reschedule and will contact everyone by phone if we can arrange it.
Thank you,

Amy

Jesus Is Back In Jude!

Huh? Verse 5 in the NASB reads:

"Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lordafter saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe."

However, the Greek word for "Lord" in this verse is Ιηοῦς and the ESV has translated this as such.

"Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe."

Why is this important?

William Mounce explains at Koinonia. It's a short article but worth the read. He is an excellent scholar and a trusted source for this kind of interpretation.

Schedule Change

Please note that we have switched the order of the two winter Bible studies. The class will study Nehemiah first and then conclude the winter session with Kinsman Redeemer (Ruth). Sorry for the confusion!

For a copy of the workbook, please contact or stop by and see Angi in the church office. The number there is 661-822-1379.
